Jung's Typology/Meyers-Briggs (Satan-spawn)

On a lark, Jaime and I revisted those horrid awful personality tests foisted upon people embarking on new chapters of life: college freshmen, graduating college seniors, pre-vicarage seminarians and their reluctant wives, etc. I've personally never been a big fan of this, but I found myself interested in reevaluating both my results and Jaime's...so we just took a more succinct version of the Meyers Briggs test online and came up with the following results:

Jaime:
-ENFJ (extraverted, intuitive, feeling, judging)
-Or, the "Idealist/Teacher" [according to one source, "Cult Leaders" !!?!]
-ENFJs are givers; people-persons. They are, in general, "persuasive, charming, warm, gracious, creative and diverse individuals with richly developed insights into what makes other people tick. They are typically very straight-forward and honest. Usually ENFJs exude a lot of self-confidence."

...the annoying thing is that Jaime was an ENFJ the first time he took this test, back in 2002, when he and I first arrived at Concordia Irvine. He flipped from a 'J' to a 'P' at one point in time, but has never really been inconsistent in his personality. Good old stable Jaime. :)

Kelly:
-ESFJ (extraverted, sensing, feeling, judging)
-Or, the "Guardian/Provider" [according to one source "Control Freaks" ...]
-ESFJs "take their responsibilities very seriously, and are very dependable. They value security and stability, organization, and have a natural tendency to want to control their environment. They need approval from others to feel good about themselves. They are hurt by indifference and don't understand unkindness."

...the annoying thing here is that (while I believe my most recent results are pretty dead-on) my results tend to flicker. Having taken the test 4 times total, I found that I flit between being extraverted and introverted, and between being judging and perceiving, though apparently I made a very solid switch between being intuitive and sensing. Frustrating.

Here are some of the careers our types are supposed to be inclined toward:
Jaime (ENFJ) - Psychologist, Social Worker/Counselor, Teacher, Clergy, Politician/Diplomat, Writer

Kelly (ESFJ) - Home Economics (...), Nursing, Teaching, Child Care, Office Management, Counseling/Social Work, Bookkeeping/Accounting, Administrative.

You too can submit yourselves to this cold-blooded appraisal of your personality! Here's the link: http://www.humanmetrics.com/
